Children and youth classes:
K-2: Lower elementary class hosts students from kindergarten through 2nd grade as they explore the bible. Students use right now media animated video lessons to learn and explore bible stories and characters on a level they can understand. Currently, students are viewing the Owlegories series which focuses on positive character traits. Owlegories connects three main bible points to each lesson and gives students real-life examples.
3-5: Our mid-grade elementary students are taught from the Simply Loved Study. This study incorporated crafts and games with the bible stories to enhance learning.
6-12: Join our 6-12th grade class for an exciting journey through the Bible with the White Board Bible Study by Pastor Allen Jackson. This dynamic three-DVD series brings the entire story of the Bible to life, from creation to Jesus’s return. Each DVD features six engaging lessons with Pastor Allen, complete with live-action whiteboard drawings that make the Bible easier to understand and more fun to explore. Plus, there’s a study guide to help with individual study and group discussions. Come and see the Bible like never before!
The Wesleyan Class:
The Wesleyan Sunday School class warmly invites adults to study the unchanging word of God. Led by Dottie Hutchinson, the group uses Bible study guides to explore various topics and figures from the Bible, rotating to a new subject with each study. This class comprises those who bring years of wisdom and experience to every lesson, but everyone is welcome to join.
Additionally, the class actively supports Savannah Methodist Church through various service projects, leading by example. Join us to experience enriching Bible lessons and fellowship with those dedicated to the unchanging word of God.
The Cornerstone Class: (for both men and women of all ages)
Welcome to our biblically based adult Sunday School, where we delve into the unchanging word of God, the Bible, and explore the historical context of its people and events. We uphold the inerrancy of scripture, firmly believing that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
Our class facilitator, Mike Humerickhouse, brings over 30 years of dedicated study in Apologetics and the scientific evidence of God’s existence. Throughout the year, Mike will dedicate several weeks to examining the Moral, Design, and Cosmological Arguments for God, as well as the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Join us in deepening our understanding and faith through this enriching journey.
Nursery is provided during Sunday School and worship services. A room dedicated to our young children ages birth to pre-K. Music, bible stories and a variety of play items are available in our nursery.
